Who you are contracting with
CrawlSweep is run by Malkovich, a sole proprietor registered in Russia (tax ID 246315789012, state registration number [to be filled in], Krasnoyarsk). This page is a public offer: it becomes a contract between you and us when you create an account or buy credits. Write to info@crawlsweep.com with anything about it — we answer ourselves.
What we sell
A technical audit of a website. We crawl the addresses we find, check them, and produce two documents: a report describing what the site looks like from a crawler's side, and a spec listing what to fix and in what order. Everything happens online — no consulting hours, calls or manual work are included, and nothing is shipped to you on paper.
Credits
Credits are the unit of account inside the service. They are not money, not electronic money and not an asset of any kind: they exist only in your account and can only be spent on scans here.
- You buy them in packs. The price of a pack is shown on the top-up page and is fixed at the moment you pay — this document carries no price deliberately, so that a price change never turns the contract into a silently outdated one.
- They do not expire. A month with no scans costs nothing and takes nothing off your balance.
- They cannot be transferred to another account, sold, or converted back into money — except as a refund of an unused purchase, described below.
- New accounts get a welcome grant of credits. It is a gift, not a purchase, and is never refundable in money. We do not grant it to addresses on disposable-mailbox domains; such an account still works normally on its own credits, and we tell you why the grant did not arrive.
What a scan costs
You pay for the scans you run, by what the run actually consumed: crawl minutes on the machine we start for you, plus what the language model spent writing the documents. Concretely:
- The first five minutes of crawling are free. That is the reconnaissance: you learn your site's speed, its expected size and whether it holds a crawl trap before anything is charged.
- A scan that runs past those minutes costs at least 20 credits. The minimum covers what does not depend on duration — starting the machine, parsing the results, storage, support — and both documents.
- You set the spend limit for the run. When it is reached the crawl is not cut off: it pauses and waits up to 30 minutes for you to raise the limit or finish with what it has. Silence means finishing with what it has.
- Credits are reserved when a scan starts and settled when it ends, and the remainder returns to your balance. Every movement, in both directions, is a line on your account page.
When the service counts as delivered
A scan is delivered when it produces a result you can open: the page index and the report, plus the spec when the model produced one. That is the moment the credits are earned. A run that produces no result costs nothing — see refunds.
We keep the results of the two most recent scans of each project; older ones are evicted automatically to make room. The report can be downloaded as a file, and if a document matters to you, download it rather than relying on us to hold it forever.
What you must have the right to do
Scan sites you own or have permission to scan. A scan is real traffic: our crawler fetches your pages and a browser measures a sample of them. By starting a scan you confirm you are entitled to put that load on that site and to receive its data.
Do not use the service to crawl, probe or load someone else's site, to work around access restrictions, or to collect personal data from sites that are not yours. We stop scans and suspend accounts for this, and we say why.
What we do not promise
- No ranking promises. We describe the technical state of a site. What search engines do with it afterwards nobody can guarantee, and we do not.
- A language model writes the wording of both documents, and it can be wrong about a specific page. Findings are worth checking before you act on them, especially before deleting or redirecting anything.
- The spec needs the model; the report does not. If the model fails you still get the report, built from the same data with our own texts.
- Availability is best effort. There is no uptime guarantee and no service-level agreement. Scans queue, and a busy queue delays a run.
- Search Console figures come from Google — only for projects where you connected your own account, and only while that access lives.
Refunds and cancellations
The rule everything else follows from: no result, no charge. You should never pay for a scan that gave you nothing.
These refunds happen on their own, without you asking. Each one appears in the ledger on your account page, and a finished scan also sends you a notification:
- The result never arrived. The crawl ran and was charged, but neither report nor index reached us — the machine died mid-packing, the upload failed. We return everything charged for that scan.
- The site turned out to be a crawl trap. When the analysis that runs after a crawl concludes that the run collected generated junk — filter combinations, an endless calendar — the scan is not billed and everything charged comes back. That is our oversight, not yours.
- The crawl did not finish. Nothing is charged at all.
- The machine never came up. The reservation is released back to your balance and you are told the run failed to start.
Unused credits. Within 14 days of a purchase you can ask for its unused part back, to the payment method you paid with. We deduct the credits spent by the time you ask, and welcome or bonus credits, which are not refundable in money. After 14 days credits stay on the account and do not expire, so nothing is lost — it simply stays as credits.
What is not refundable: scans that produced their result, and any credits we gave you rather than sold you.
How to ask. Write to info@crawlsweep.com from the address your account is registered to and say what you want back. We answer within 3 working days and pay within 10 working days of agreeing the amount. If a charge looks wrong to you, write to us before asking your bank to reverse it: we can usually settle it the same day, and a bank dispute takes weeks.
Closing the account. You can close it at any time by writing to us; your data is then removed as described in the privacy policy. Credits on the balance are not paid out automatically on closure — if you want the unused part of a recent purchase back, ask for it in the same message.
Your account
One account belongs to one person or one company. You are responsible for what happens under your password. We suspend accounts used to attack the service or someone else's site, or to resell access, and we tell you the reason.
Changes to these terms
A new version appears on this page with a new date. If the substance changes — what you pay for, or how refunds work — we write to you before it takes effect. Scans already started are always settled under the terms in force when they started.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation, where the business is registered. If you are a consumer in another country, this does not take away the protections your own law gives you and that cannot be contracted out of. Before anything formal, write to info@crawlsweep.com: most of what looks like a dispute turns out to be a misread line in the ledger, and we would rather show you the line.
